Rahwan Shipping — last updated 14 July 2026.

Rahwan is a last-mile delivery carrier operating in Egypt. This app lets a Shopify merchant offer Rahwan as a shipping option at checkout, and sends orders placed with that option to Rahwan so that we can deliver them.

What we receive

When a customer places an order using Rahwan shipping, Shopify sends us the information we need to deliver the parcel:

• the customer’s name — so the courier hands the parcel to the right person
• the delivery address — so the courier knows where to go
• the phone number — so the courier can call on arrival
• the order contents and value — so the parcel can be handled and, for cash-on-delivery, the right amount collected

We request nothing else — not even an email address. We do not receive payment card details, we do not use customer data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we never sell it.

Where it goes

This app does not store customer personal data. It passes the order to Rahwan’s delivery system and keeps only an order reference and whether the transfer succeeded.

Rahwan’s delivery system holds the delivery details for as long as they are needed to complete and account for the delivery. Every personal detail — name, phone number and address — is encrypted, so a stolen disk or a leaked database reveals nothing. Access is restricted to the staff handling the order, and every access to customer details is logged.

How long we keep it

Personal data is erased 180 days after an order is completed, cancelled or failed. The order’s financial record is kept for accounting, but the customer’s name, phone number and address are destroyed.

Your rights

Customers may ask the merchant they bought from for a copy of their data or for it to be erased; the merchant can pass that request to us through Shopify and we will act on it. Merchants can uninstall the app at any time, after which the shop’s data is deleted.
